The Loungi Occasional Chair is an armless modular lounge module, vacuum-compressed into a box and shipped from Melbourne. $399. Metro delivery in 10 business days, or a $100 store credit if we're late.

Here's the bit people miss. On my own I'm a proper armchair — soft curves, deep foam core, no arms, a whole lot of attitude. Zip me to another module and I'm the middle of a sofa. Add a corner and I'm an L-shape. I play well with others, but I absolutely steal the scene.

I arrive flat in a box that fits through a standard doorway, and I'm back to full size in 24–48 hours. No tools. Modules zip together in seconds.

FYI — no two Grumpis are exactly alike, so yours may have tiny quirks. Freckles, not flaws.

Delivery & returns

If I'm in stock, I'm usually out the door within 1 business day. Pre-orders ship once my stock lands. Deliveries are expected within 10 business days, and metro orders usually arrive sooner — sometimes within 2. Full delivery terms, including our $100 metro guarantee, are in our Shipping Policy. The 10-business-day guarantee doesn't cover pre-order items. They ship once the stock lands, and we'll keep you posted on timing.

Freight is charged and depends on your postcode. Most metro trips run $59 to $99 for a single piece, extra pieces add freight, and the exact cost is calculated at checkout.

Changed your mind? You have 30 days. If the box is unopened you can send it back at your cost, or we can book the pickup and take the freight off your refund. If you have already opened it, you can donate it to a registered charity and get 75% of the item price back. The original delivery fee is not refunded.

Product care
  • Spills & Spot Cleaning: Accidents happen (we’ve seen your snack habits). If you spill, blot, don’t rub, you’re dabbing a mess, not exfoliating your face. Use a clean, dry cloth, and skip the harsh cleaners. Seriously.
    For anything gnarly, call in the pros. I’ll pretend it never happened.
  • Keep Me Fresh: Vacuum me regularly using a soft brush head, or go wild with a lint roller if you’re feeling fancy. Dust, fluff, toast crumbs, I collect it all, and I’m not proud of it.
  • Shade Me, Babe: Like your ex, I don’t do well in direct sunlight. Keep me out of harsh rays and away from heaters unless you want my glow-up to fade faster than a spray tan in a heatwave.
  • Handle With Sass: Watch the bling, sharp zips, rogue belt buckles and hyperactive pets. I’m soft, not invincible. (Yes, Karen, this means don’t let your chihuahua dig in.)
  • Dark Denim Drama: New jeans? Cute. But don’t let them sit on me before their first wash unless you want an unexpected tie-dye makeover. I don’t suit indigo.
  • No Couch Crunching: Don’t stack heavy stuff on my arms, lean weirdly on my back, or plonk me on a slanted floor. I’ll wobble, sag, and judge you silently.

Absolutely obsessed with my Grumpi furniture!!! Looks so stunning and is even more comfortable!! They’re so light and easy to move too, which has been great for entertaining and wanting to use our space differently. Also very easy to clean! Will it survive my dog?

Honest answer: my tests cover sitting, leaning and (for Peachi) spinning. Nobody tested claws or chewing, so I won't promise pet-proof. Keep the nails trimmed, throw a blanket on their favourite spot and clean spills quickly. See exactly what was tested.

How squished is squished?

Vacuum-packed flat into a box that fits through a standard doorway. Open me in my final spot and give me 24–48 hours to get back to full size.
