The Loungi Modular Sofa is a full-size modular lounge in Brown Snow Velvet, vacuum-compressed into boxes and shipped from Melbourne. From $829 for 2 pieces. Metro delivery in 10 business days, or a $100 store credit if we're late.

I'm the Loungi Sofa. Modular, so you build me however you want — two pieces, three, five, six — zipped together with zero tools. I turn up as a compressed sofa in boxes, take 24–48 hours to find my shape, then get sat on forever.

  • Rearrange me whenever — corners, armless middles, arms on either end. Add another module when the room grows.
  • No tools, no allen key — modules zip together, about as hard as making a bed.
  • Fits through your door — each module vacuum-compressed into its own box, full size in 24–48 hours.
  • Built to cop it — tested by SGS to 20,000 seat cycles, 1 year warranty.
  • Metro delivery in 10 business days, or a $100 store credit if we're late.

Configurations:

  • 2 Piece $829 — Left Arm + Right Arm. A two-seater, 220cm wide
  • 3 Piece $1,239 — Left Arm, Armless, Right Arm. A three-seater, 300cm wide
  • 5 Piece $1,999 — Left Arm, Armless, Corner, Armless, Right Arm. An L-shape, 280cm each way
  • 6 Piece $2,199 — the 5 Piece plus a Tootsi ottoman for feet, snacks, or one more person

FYI — no two Grumpis are exactly alike, so yours may have tiny quirks. Freckles, not flaws.

Delivery & returns

If I'm in stock, I'm usually out the door within 1 business day. Pre-orders ship once my stock lands. Deliveries are expected within 10 business days, and metro orders usually arrive sooner — sometimes within 2. Full delivery terms, including our $100 metro guarantee, are in our Shipping Policy. The 10-business-day guarantee doesn't cover pre-order items. They ship once the stock lands, and we'll keep you posted on timing.

Freight is charged and depends on your postcode. Most metro trips run $59 to $99 for a single piece, extra pieces add freight, and the exact cost is calculated at checkout.

Changed your mind? You have 30 days. If the box is unopened you can send it back at your cost, or we can book the pickup and take the freight off your refund. If you have already opened it, you can donate it to a registered charity and get 75% of the item price back. The original delivery fee is not refunded.

This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. The couch is so insanely comfortable, expanded beautifully is really supportive but also nice and soft and holds its shape well. We also got the tootsi square and there is so much space on it. Perfect for movie nights, lounging about, entertaining, but also I fall asleep on it way too often because it’s so bloody comfortable. Couldn’t recommend Grumpi Furniture highly enough! From start to finish, the customer service was absolutely amazing. The delivery process was a little tricky to organise, but the team went above and beyond to make everything work and kept me informed throughout the whole process. Will it survive my dog?

Honest answer: my tests cover sitting, leaning and (for Peachi) spinning. Nobody tested claws or chewing, so I won't promise pet-proof. Keep the nails trimmed, throw a blanket on their favourite spot and clean spills quickly. See exactly what was tested.

How squished is squished?

Vacuum-packed flat into a box that fits through a standard doorway. Open me in my final spot and give me 24–48 hours to get back to full size.

Do I need tools?

No tools. Unwrap me in my final spot and give me 24–48 hours to expand. Loungi modules zip together.

What if I hate it?

You have 30 days. If the box is unopened you can send it back at your cost, or we can book the pickup and take the freight off your refund. What is included in each Loungi sofa size?

2 Piece: Left and Right Modules. 3 Piece: Left, one Armless and Right. 5 Piece: Left, two Armless, one Corner and Right. 6 Piece: the same five modules plus a Tootsi ottoman. Each piece arrives in its own box.

How much room does the Loungi sofa need?

2 Piece measures 220 × 90 × 75 cm. 3 Piece measures 300 × 90 × 75 cm. The 5 Piece L-shaped layout measures 280 × 280 × 75 cm. The 6 Piece adds a Tootsi ottoman measuring 90 cm across and 35 cm high. Check the Dimensions section for packed carton sizes.

How are the sofas connected?

With a zip along the bottom. Push the modules together, zip them up underneath and they are held firmly in place, so nothing drifts apart when you flop down. The zip sits low and out of sight, and no tools are needed. Want to change the layout? Just unzip and rearrange.
